TRASHCAN SINATRAS, Cottier Theatre, Glasgow, November 30 ****
It seems appropriate that one of our finest songwriting groups should showcase their God-given talents in an old church.
Literate, melodic and whimsical, they are one of Scotland's best-kept secrets.
Imagine Travis with better melodies, better lyrics and a tenth of their success.
This gig showcased songs from their new CD. Stand-outs were Freetime, the heart-felt Weightlifting and old favourite Safecracker. Highlight was undoubtedly What Women Do To Men, already a Sinatras classic.
