concert review - trashcan sinatras in aberdeen

MAIL MUSIC: T ON THE FRINGE

TRASHCAN SINATRAS LEMON TREE, ABERDEEN, SEPTEMBER 20

RATING ##### (5/5)

Songs from across the Trashcan's impressive back catalogue were played at this Tune Up Tour, with the main focus on songs from the last album Weightlifting. Most notable was All The Dark Horses, a jangly stomping romp where the collective of guitarists was at its finest with some devious sounding bass and emotive vocals.

The lack of banter with the fans was disappointing but the band chose to concentrate instead on delivering the music. Frontman Frank Reader's voice showed its impressive range on the plaintive Leave Me Alone and How Can Apply stood out as a catchy indie pop tune.
