MAIL MUSIC: SINATRAS' SISTER ACT
TRASHCAN SINATRAS, Brel, Glasgow, June 18 ****
A COSY conservatory played host to the Kilmarnock band, who launched straight into the hauntingly brilliant What Women Do To Men.
Frank Reader's vocals were perfect on unreleased songs All The Dark Horses and Weightlifting, while their jingly- jangly melodies sounded as good as ever on favourites such as Safecracker, The Best Man's Fall and January's Little Joke. Highlight was Frank's little sister Richeal joining in on a beautiful Tony Romeo song called Tonight You Belong To Me.

SINATRAS NOT SO RUBBISH
TRASHCAN SINATRAS, T on The Fringe, Liquid Room, Edinburgh, August 16
AFTER a spell away from the limelight, the Trashcan Sinatras are back - refreshed, confident and playing at their heartfelt best.
The songs had a lullaby feel and lead singer Francis Reader's new lyrics reflected themes of regret. The tenderness of All About Us wouldn't look out of place on a Morrissey album and you could see David Gray taking tips from Got Carried Away.
They are just like Travis - only more original and believable. It's a crying shame the Sinatras have remained in relative obscurity.
